Our client (Foreign company) is a leading global provider of wireless broadband solutions.
The motivated leader with a strong electrical engineering background will manage cost reduction efforts across the entire portfolio. This includes developing new low-cost ideas, prototyping them, and seeing them into production.
Develop costing models to assess how much to expect each PCB assembly will cost. Review all electrical designs as well as new designs for cost.
Digital, Analog and Power Supply Design and Debug- Design Verification at a board level and system level of cost reduced designs.
Design complex multi-layer PCB’s with SoCs/FPGA’s, Power supplies, ADC’s and high- and low-speed interfaces
Manage negotiations to reduce costs on existing parts as well as negotiations of new parts
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities including visiting and evaluating new vendors
Assess new technologies and techniques to be used in product development
Design and develop cost reduced prototypes
Collaborate with other engineering teams to create new ideas for cost reduction
Stress the designs through a variety of verification testing (DVT)
Document specifications and designs Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
Provide a quality eye on our suppliers and partners to ensure processes and procedures are followed to minimize defects.
Manage ODM electrical designs
Skills & Experience
Relevant experience in mixed signal electrical design (Analog/Digital) for radio products. Including power supplies, high speed memory layout, SPI, Ethernet, USB
Soldering and proto-typing abilities. Lab debug and verification of designs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
Expert user in PCB tools such as Cadence Allegro Coordinate electrical issue resolution at ODMs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Strong communication skills (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
